Nigel is Commucan’s Chairman.
Nigel started his career in the oil industry with Mobil in London and subsequently with Total Oil in London and Paris. He was involved in a wide range of activities, primarily in marketing, public relations and political communications.
He entered consultancy in 1986 to broaden his experience for what he intended to be a brief spell, but more than 25 years later he remains firmly grounded in the consultancy world.
In 1993, Nigel was appointed Managing Director of Grayling, the international communications consultancy headquartered in London, and became its Group Chief Executive in 1999 with responsibility for its operations across Europe, the USA and Asia.
Nigel left Grayling at the end of 2009 to take what he described as a well-deserved career break and to dabble in a variety of consultancy projects.
He has advised a wide range of clients, both domestically and internationally, in corporate, financial, business-to-business and consumer communications as well as in government relations. He has extensive experience in issues and crisis management.
Nigel lives in London with his wife, four children and one dog.
